Noah’s most infamous relationship to date was with rapper Lil Xan (real name Diego Leanos). The two started dating in June 2018, when Lil Xan sent a DM to Noah asking to hang out. Their romance began shortly after «The End of Everything» artist ended her relationship with Tanner.
When the duo attended the 2018 MTV VMAs together, they took a few photos on the red carpet — and they soon went viral.

Despite publicly professing their love for one another on social media, Noah and Lil Xan split by September 2018. They each took to their respective Instagram stories to discuss the breakup, and things got messy fast.
They both accused the other of cheating, and Lil Xan accused Noah of faking their relationship.

Lil Xan later apologized to Noah and the rest of the Cyrus family for the breakup. He began dating YouTuber Gabby Parsons in November 2019, but they broke up in the summer of 2020 because of his reported infidelity.
He did appear in public with Noah again in April 2020, but it the two didn’t reignite their relationship.

Then what?
Lil Xan then accused his girlfriend of cheating on him, claiming she had posted a photo on Instagram “all over some other dude.” Cyrus denied that, alleging that he has more likely cheated on her, as evidenced by the mysterious hickey on his neck.
Lil Xan then addressed the breakup rumors, in a since-deleted Instagram video, saying, “If y’all think that meme is the reason I broke up with Noah, that is hilarious.” He convincingly alleged that Columbia Records — the label that represents both him and Cyrus — was behind the whole relationship. “It was something set up by, uh, Columbia Records … Columbia, uh, set it up to boost, uh, her like … y’know … like, everybody shit poppin’,” Lil Xan reportedly said. “Shout-out to Columbia Records, too, for setting up that fake relationship. I didn’t want to do it, to be completely honest … It was just added work to my schedule, you know what I mean?”
Cyrus swiftly denied the allegation, as did representatives from Columbia Records. According to Lil Xan, the song that the couple had recorded together, called “Live or Die,” will not be released.
February 2018:
Lil Xan slid into Noah Cyrus’ DMs way back in February, she told E! News. «Xan slid into the DMs. It works people.» Though Noah didn’t actually see the message until months later. «He DMed me like in February and I didn’t see it for months and then I saw that he was following me and I was like, ‘Lil Xan, cool, he’s following me. I’ll follow him back.’ And then I saw his DM and we’re just hanging out making music.»

Who is Lil Xan?
Born Diego Leanos on September 6, 1996 in Redlands, California, Lil Xan is a rapper who is best known for his platinum certified single Betrayed, which entered the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at no. 64.
According to Kulture Hub, Lil Xan, who was given this name when he was still addicted to Xanax, brings more to the table than your average rapper.
After dropping out of high school during his freshman year to become a professional Call of Duty player, he started taking pictures of his friends at their shows and aspired to be a photographer.
However, when his camera was stolen from the DJ booth at a friend’s gig, Leanos decided to use the money that he had to become a rapper.
In an interview with XXL Magazine, Diego said: ‘I was rapping as a hobby for a year and six months, but it got very serious six months ago. Then even more four months ago and even more two months ago, now it’s even at a level where the movement which I created, Xanarchy, has taken off.’
Despite his group Low Gang failing, as he mentioned in the interview, with Xanarchy he was able to be successful. ‘Me and my friend was going by this group Low Gang and it wasn’t really taking off. So, from ashes of Low Gang I created Xanarchy and I just thought the name was a good play on words.
‘It’s been taking off, it’s already showing signs. It’s ridiculous how much the growth has been everywhere.’ Now known as one to watch in 2018 after the release of Betrayed, in which he raps about kicking his Xanax addiction.
The Betrayed lyrics go as follows: ‘Xans don’t make you / Xans gon’ take you / Xans gon’ fake you / And Xans gon’ betray you.’ Lil Xan explained his addiction in an interview with DJ Booth: ‘I definitely learned that lesson after ending up in the hospital from withdrawing.
‘I was doing Norcos, too. I was withdrawing from opiates and Benzos. It landed me in the hospital too many times. And one day, I was just like, “This ain’t fun, I can’t live this life. A lot of rappers don’t really be talking about not doing drugs. You know, it’s like the opposite way, so it’s refreshing, I think.’
With nearly 3 million views on YouTube, Lil Xan has established himself as the face and voice of Xanax addiction and recovery.

Noah talked to Entertainment Tonight to promote her new EP «Good Cry,» but of course the conversation quickly turned to Lil Xan. «I’m fine. I’m totally fine,» she said about her state post-breakup. «I think it’s just something that we both will move on from and it’s all love, it’s all good.»
Despite her mature attitude about the whole thing, Noah still doesn’t completely understand what happened (honestly, does anyone?). «I’m confused, that’s all I’ll say. I’m confused, but that’s cool. It was a shock for everyone I think. I didn’t know it was going to happen.»
Noah is ready to focus on other things, however, like her new EP and her upcoming tour. «I just gotta focus on me right now and I don’t really need to have a boyfriend now anyway and I realized that when everything blew up in my face. Like, Noah, just take the time to work on yourself to make yourself happy and you don’t need a man to make you happy.»
As for having such a public breakup? Noah’s used to it. «My whole life has been public so it’s fine,» she said. «I was born at a Billy Ray Cyrus concert it feels like.»
In addition to debuting her new music, Noah is also busy promoting a collaboration with Pizzaslime.com. The collab includes sweatpants that say «sadness,» sweatshirts that say «Noah Cyrus sucks,» and a vile of Noah’s tears selling for $12,000. Yup, you can buy Noah’s tears! The description of the product claims that the tears were produced by «Noah Cyrus as a result of sadness.» And while we don’t know exactly when and why they fell from her eyes, we can only assume Lil Xan had something to do with it.

But then he also kinda says that there wasn’t a plan?
